Toronto/Aerosmith

I haven't been posting in the past few days because i have been over in crazy land(Canada). Toronto is a really cool city but i just don't think i would be able to deal with how far behind they are compared to the good ol u.s. of a. It just feels like when you go over there you are going back in time by like 20 years. They just run everything so inefficiently, everything is over priced, and it seems as though they just go out of their way to be different than the u.s. Alright enough of the Canada rant and on to the Toronto trip. We were only there for 2 nights but we did a lot of stuff in the short amount of time. We went and checked out the hockey hall of fame which was really cool but it was kind of funny because it was in like a strip mall haha. I guess i was just expecting it to be some really nice building and didn't expect it to be connected to a Starbucks. I got some pictures that i will have to try and put up, including one with the Stanley cup. Our hotel was only a few streets over from yonge st. so we were able to walk to all kinds of different bars and it was a pretty fun time. The only part that really sucked was their lack of alcohol and alcohol knowledge. Every bar we went to had like no liquor, everything tasted completely watered down, and they had no idea on how to make any drinks or shots. We went to this bar that looked pretty nice down in their main bar district and i asked for a 7&7 and they looked at me like i was retarded. The girl even asked the owner who was standing by the bar and they both said that they have never even heard of the drink haha. I could understand if i said some weird type of drink but a 7&7? I'm not positive but i think its one of the most common drinks ever created. Toronto was a pretty fun time but after 2 nights of intense boozing i was ready to get back to the u.s and relax...... Well that was the plan until my roommate told me he had an extra Aerosmith ticket and it was back over to Canada. Aerosmith is one of those bands that i was thinking would be great to see because they are one of the biggest rock bands ever but all in all i was pretty disappointed with their performance. They didn't really sound that great, they played a ton of their slower songs, and Steven Tyler was pretty lame. I'm sure it would've been great to see them like 20 years ago but i just wasn't impressed with the show they put on. Fortunately for me we had been downing tons of drinks so you would've probably thrown any band up there and i still would've had a fun time. Also i haven't seen Tyler on TV or anything in a few years and when i saw him on the big screen i noticed he looks like an old woman haha. http://www.starpulse.com/Music/Tyler,_Steven/gallery/TTO-002724/ he kind of looks like a younger Joan rivers. It was still a really fun time at the concert but i guess i just expected more out of aerosmith. Anyways tonight is boat night so I'm about to head over to the pregame and start boozin so check back in the next few days and I'm out.
