day 58

Today i woke up a little hung over and decided i would play for a little while. I only played 1 table of 5/10nl and a free roll tournament for the top VIP members on pokerstars which pays out 10,000 for first. I'm still in the tournament right now with about 270 players left with it paying the top 90 so we will see how that goes. I have a wedding reception to go to tonight which should be pretty fun so i wont have any time to play or post later. Anyways i am going to try and win this tourney real quick so here are a few hands from today and I'm out.

Quick post/ Day 58

Today i played for about a half hour and then the tables started to get tough so i quit playing. They weren't really all that tough but about after a half hour of play i just wasn't really feelin in the poker mood so i decided to quit. Anyways i managed to win a little bit for only playing such a short amount of time so here are the few hands from today and I'm out.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?995846 - I have played short handed with this guy before and know that he loves to bluff so when the blank hits the river i just check and let him do his thing.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?995848 - same guy here i know that he has some type of weak hand and the only way to get any more money out of him is to try and induce a bluff. So i decide to make a very weak bet of 30 on the river which looks like a weak blocking type of bet and make it look like im scared of the straight on board to get him to try and bluff and it works perfect. There is no reason to reraise in this spot on the river because i am 100% sure he has a very weak hand and i wont get another penny out of him.

He could have a a weak pocket pair here but i think he wouldve pushed and i just really had him pinned for clubs. So i decide to just push his last 180 out there and even if he did have some type of pp i still have 10 outs to hit.

Day 57

Today i only played poker for about an hour but more importantly the red wings dominated. I was down like 400 the whole time but managed to win a nice pot to put me back up like 200 or something. Its pretty late here and I'm pretty drunk so check back tomorrow to see what i got goin on.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?993923 - this guy is a pretty solid player and will continuation bet most the time with any flop so i decide to raise to see where I'm at. Once he calls the 120 i am done with the hand and plan on checking it down until i hit a nice river and make a bet he has to call.

day 56/ let the playoff hockey begin...

That is right the Stanley cup playoffs started today and other than march madness this is the best time of the year to be a sports fan. Even though I'm pretty sure no one else really cares or might not even know what hockey is haha. Obviously i will be rooting for the red wings but the western conference is so stacked its going to be a tough road to the finals. Just getting through the 1st round is going to be hard, they play Calgary in the 1st round as an 8 seed which is the 1 team i didn't want to play in the first round because they are very physical and i hate to say it but Detroit is a team of pussy's. Anyways enough rambling on about the wings and to some poker. I put together a pretty good session today of about 5 hours and i was able to put up some good numbers. It started off pretty rocky being stuck about 500 in the first half hour but i managed to grind my way back into the green. Some reason there was no 5/10nl games going on full tilt so i played 3 tables of 5/10 on pokerstars. I hope to be able to play tomorrow but i have some running around to do during the day and the wings game starts at 7 so we will see how that goes. Anyways it is 230 and the Vancouver games is in triple over time so i am going to go back to watching that, here are some hands from today and I'm out.

Day 55/Yesterdays play..

I am just starting to play today so i am going to keep this pretty short. Yesterday i played for a couple hours and couldn't really get anything going. I played 5/10nl on both full tilt and pokerstars but wasn't able to put up any good numbers. The games were playing pretty tough and i was pretty much card dead the whole time. Anyways i am going to start playing a session right now so check back later to see how that went.

Day 54/ a big set back....

Today i didn't play any cash games but for some reason decided to play in some tournaments. I played in 4 tournaments on pokerstars the 150, 109, 22+re buys, and the softest tourney field in the world the 20 dollar heads up tourney. I managed to cash in the 150 and the 20 heads up but neither of the cashes were anything big so i think overall i ended up breaking about even on the day. I couldve easily cashed in the 22 re buy tourney too but my qq ran into kk in a blind vs. blind situation and really crippled me right before cashing. So i guess you could say overall today in terms of poker was a waste of time. I did set up another trip out to Vegas though for may 9 through the 16th so i feel like i accomplished a lot today haha. Well that pretty much sums up today's play and i plan on putting together a long session tomorrow so check back to see how that went and I'm out.
