I think im going to need a new goal...........

I just finished up another great day of poker and i think im going to have to change my goal. After todays play i am very close to achieving the goal and its only day 4 haha. I hope i didnt just jinx myself now but if i dont have a total meltdown in the next few days i guess im going to have to come up with a new goal. I played a lot of different types of poker today and was pretty successful in all areas. I played 3 tournaments today( 33+rebuys, 109, 55 omaha), played a few hours live of no limit, and capped the day off with another sick plo session. I final tabled the 33 rebuy finishing in 4th place for around 1k and also finished in 5th in the plo tourney for like 350 or something. After donking it up in the tournaments i decided to head to the wynn for a few hours and was really card dead but still managed to make around 450. After all the days poker you would think i would be sick of playing but i was actually kind of excited to come back and play some plo. Im glad that im doing well at plo because i really like the game and its a very nice change from the daily no limit grind. Its pretty late in the morning here so im going to wrap this up with a few of the bigger pots from todays plo session. Including a 5 way all-in preflop for like a 4k ish pot which some how i managed to take down. What a grueling job i have.......

Yesterday/ Day 3 was one of those days where i stop and realize how tough my "job" is. The day started off with me waking up around 2pm and buying a few shirts online. I decided to play a few 100 heads up plo hi/lo sit n gos while i was sitting around eating lunch, won those. After lunch we decided to go golfing which went absolutely horrible. I was never really good but i was way better than how i played yesterday. I was slicing and topping every shot and about half way through the 3rd hole i just gave up and started hacking away at the ball. It was the first time ive been out golfing since moving to vegas so i still had a lot of fun just going and drinking beer even though i played awful. The course we went to was pretty nice but we got there kind of late and by the 6th hole we had to quit because it was dark already haha. After golfing we decided to stop at outback steakhouse for some food and a few more beers. I love outback steakhouse and i think for the 20-25 dollar a meal range there is nothing that matches up to it. It was a really good meal except our server was retarded(not literally) and was really slow with everything. = crappy tip.
After that we didnt really do much else other than play some tiger woods 08 on ps3 (Wii is still not here) and drink some more. Around 4 i decided it was time to go to bed until i decide to just take a peek at the plo tables and i decided to sit. It was pretty sick session. I sat down to play for a half hour and made 3,700 haha. I guess 100/a minute is an alright ratio. Im pretty pissed i cant figure out how to put the hands up on here so you can see them but hopefully ill figure it out. Anyways as you can tell from above i didnt accomplish much yesterday so i still dont have the pics to put up. I will try to figure out whats wrong with these links and hopefully get some pics up tonight so check back for that and im out.

Day 2.........

This is going to be a quick recap of yesterdays play. The freeroll tournament was at the wynn yesterday and lets just say it did not go as planned. I left the apartment all excited to play (strange because tournaments are gay) and was making perfect time to show up right at 5 when of course the whole Las Vegas Boulevard was completely shut down haha. There was some huge accident right in front of the wynn which completely blocked off the parking garage. So of course i got stuck in some detour convoy with all these idiots that didnt know what they were doing or even basic driving skills. I didnt really know any other way into the hotel until i remembered there was a valet in the back and now the problem was trying to get there. Driving anywhere around the strip during the day is a huge hassle any time but having part of it shut down and being right during dinner time it was a mess.It pretty much took me a half hour to get to the back of the hotel and valet my car when i couldve got out and walked there in less time. The sad thing is that it took me more time to get into the tournament than the amount of time i actually played in it haha. I made my best phil hellmuth impression by arriving about 45 minutes late only to play for about a half hour. The table was so soft, it was full of 50-70 year old degenerates and i thought for sure it was going to be a piece of cake. Sure enough i ended up being the 2nd one from our table to go out haha.

Quick summary of my bust out hand- blinds 100/200 i have about 11k in chips
3 players limp in and i pick up 45of diamonds on the button so i raise to 750
The big blind calls which causes all the other limpers to now call
Flop- 347 which is about as good of a flop i can ask for.
everyone checks i bet out about 2100 and after thinking for a while the bb min raises to 4200
I decide he probably has some sort of overpair and decide to shove all in.
He immediately calls showing me 44 and im out.

I stick by my play but just happend to run into a big hand. The way i played the hand makes it impossible for him to call with anything other than a set and unfortunately he had it.

Anyways we are about to go golfing so i have to wrap this up. This is my first time golfing since coming out here so it should be interesting. Anyways i will have those pictures up later and i will play some poker later so check back to see how it went and im out. Oh i completely forgot to talk about my omaha session yesterday. It started off pretty rocky but after about 4 hours of grinding i was finally able to get back into the green for a decent profit.

A very good first day....

Today was the beginning of my new goal of making 15k this month and if everyday goes like today this goal is going to be a breeze. It actually started off really shitty at the wynn by me getting hit with bad beats left and right. I played at the wynn for about 4 hours before finally just giving up with me being down 20 dollars on the session haha. I really shouldve made like 7 or 800 but like i said i kept getting rivered. I didnt really pick up any big hands but kept getting shorter stacks to go all in with draws against my 2 pair and they would hit every time. It was a very frustrating day at the wynn but i played really well and some times the cards just dont hold up i guess. I think i had 5 different players all in today and didnt win one of the pots when i was a pretty big favorite in all of them. I guess in a way i feel like i won by only losing 20 dollars considering how bad i ran. So after that mess i decided to call it a day until........ i see some good 5/10 plo games running and decide to sit for a while. The players in the games were pretty weak and i was able to pretty much run wild on the tables haha. After a few hours of plo i was able to rake in about 3,500 which is a really good start to the goal.

Its about 7 am here and i have to give my roommate a ride at 9 so im just trying to stay awake until then. It really sucks because i know once i get done doing that i wont be able to fall asleep. Also my sleep schedule is going to be all fucked up now but it will all be worth it once i get some mcdonalds breakfast. Mcdonalds breakfast is the shit and since im never up before 2pm its a rare treat when im able to endulge in this deliciousness.

There is a 100k freeroll tournament at the Wynn tomorrow adn there is only like 500 players in it so hopefully i will do well in it. Its a shootout format which means you sit with the other 8 players at your table and in order to win you have to get all the chips from the other players. Once you win your table you advance to the next round and the winners from the 1st round get 500 bucks. I dont have much experience in this type of tournament format but im sure all the other players will be horrible so i should be ok. First prize is 25k which would be nice but ill be happy if im even able to just win my table tomorrow for the 500.

I took some pics of my ride but i left the camera in the car so i will put them up later tonight. Some how the switch that moves the convertible top up and down got fucked up so i have to leave it up and get it looked at one of these days.

I ordered a nintendo WII from the pokerstars frequent player points store like 2 weeks ago and it still hasnt came. Ive only played tiger woods on it before but i heard the bowling game is pretty sweet and i really wish it would get here already. IM starting to get worried that it got lost or stolen in the mail because everytime ive ordered stuff from stars its usually been here in like a week tops. That would suck. Speaking of mail we have the biggest bitch in the world for our mail person. My roommates said she was really mean but i didnt think much of it until i had my first encounter with her the other day. So im brushing my teeth back in my room when i hear a knock on the door. I take maybe 20 seconds tops to finish brushing and open the door when i see her walking away. She turns around with a package in her hand and says Do you want this or Not in a really bitchy way. I say yes and she asks me to sign for it so im like alright. She has no clipboard or anything just a piece of paper that she wants me to sign while standing there. So i put the paper up against my hand and try signing it(didnt really work) and she pulls it out of my hand and says "what are you doing, sign it against the wall" At this point im pretty pissed off and fed up with her but i just bite my lip and dont say anything. So i sign it, hand it to her ,and she hands me the package. Now this is the point where i got really pissed. After being a total bitch already she hands me the package and is just staring at me and there was no way i was going to thank her. So after this really uncomfortable kind of showdown she starts to walk away finally realizing im not saying thanks and mutters "well ur welcome." I didnt really appreciate her whole thing she had going on so i say to her " ur welcome...., what do you want me to thank you for being a rude bitch" and i just shut the door. I never act like this but she was just way out of line and i actually am thinking of complaining to the post office about her but thats another story. So by having that whole ordeal with her im sure all our mail will get "lost" for now on.

15k in October

The new goal that i decided to do is to try and make 15k this month. I was going to go for 20 but like i said this is going to be kind of a hectic month so ill just stick to the 15. I think that i should be able to achieve this as long as i play my game and dont run into a cold streak of bad beats. I really put in a good amount of time playing online this weekend, it was only like 6 hours but thats like how much ive played total since i moved out here. The past few days of online play ive only been playing 5/10 pot limit omaha and have been absolutely killing it. Saturday i caught a hotstreak of cards and before i knew it i was up about 7k in a little over 2 hours haha. Then today(sunday) i played a few tournaments and continued to kill it in omaha. I played 3 tournaments (530nl,109+ rebuys,and 33+rebuys)and was only able to cash in the 33r for about 520 or something finishing in 10th place. I played some more 5/10 plo for a few hours and was able to book another nice win of about 3k. I want to put up some of the hands for you guys to see the big pots i won and lost but the program has been hacked or something so im not using it until it is safe to do so.

Last night i think i probably drank enough liquor to get 5 people drunk. Hodge's birthday was last weekend but his parents were in town so the celebration was moved to last night. He had to work until 130 so i stopped by the wynn and decided to start slamming down (my new drink) Kettle and cranberries. Which was a good idea because the drinks were free but a bad idea because i proceeded to play horrible poker and lost like 1500. So after having some 1500 dollar drinks at the wynn i headed over to tangerine (inside Treasure island)where we had a table and some bottle service. Unfortunately whenever you get bottle service anywhere all they seem to have is greygoose and its horrible compared to Kettle one. At this point i was pretty wasted but from what i remember it was pretty cool there. After polishing off a few bottles and some shots it was now time (4am)to go to an after hours bar(Drai's in bill's gamblin saloon haha)where we supposedly had another table. Somehow we were unable to find the table though and ended up leaving after one drink. Which kind of sucked because we found out today that we were like right by it but some how were too drunk to find it. We ended up calling it a night around 7 this morning and i woke up today with the worst hangover i have had in years. Which is pretty weird because i never get hangovers. It was a fairly expensive night but it was fun and im glad i managed to make a little over 10k on the weekend, haha how sick.

Well that pretty much going to wrap up this post. I wanted to let you know what the goal is going to be and give u a look into the weekends festivities. I took my camera with the plan of taking some pics to put up but sure enough i left it in my car, which was probably for the best because who knows what wouldve happened to it if i had it with me last night. I woke up today with nothing in my wallet and no clue as to where or how much money was in it so i probably wouldve somehow lost my camera too. I wanted to talk more about the nhl, lions, and my nintendo wii but this is getting pretty long and its like 4 in the morning here. Anyways check back tomorrow to see how the first day went and im going to get some pics of the car up as well and im out.
