Day # 4

Today started off pretty much the same as the past few days, down a few buy ins. I played for around 3 hours and got sick of running into huge hands and losing so i quit. I was down about 2k again when i decided to quit. So after a night of drinking and shots i decided to get back on and play for a few hours and actually turning my down 2k into a 1k profit. I was still running bad but didn't run into any hands that i couldn't get away from. Anyways here are some hands from both sessions.

The q was a scare card as i had him on qq/jj ak/aq so i just decided i probably was rivered again and just called.

Day # 3

Today was fucking stupid. I'm running so bad right now and keep running into set ups its just not even fun to play. I played for about 10 minutes until this was the first hand i played and ran into another set up. I just logged off and quit playing and who knows whats going to happen with this goal if this shit continues. Here's the hand and its pretty self explanatory and sums up my past 3 days.

Day # 2

Today was an absolute nightmare. I played for about 6 hours and it was one of the worst sessions I've had in a while. I kept getting my money all in as the favorite and lost every time. I am so frustrated right now its sick. These are the days that really are a gut check to whether or not you have what it takes to do this for a living. I have lost amounts like this plenty of times before but the cards are running so bad its sick. Of course i have to have a day like this right at the beginning of my goal too haha. I guess there is nothing i can do but keep playing my game and hope the cards start to do what they are supposed to. I am playing and reading my opponents well but every time i get the money in the middle as a favorite i lose. Oh well, all i can do is keep getting it in as the favorite and ride this cold streak out. Here are the hands today that really caused me to be down today. I wouldn't play any of these hands different, just bad outcomes and that's poker i guess. I dont really feel like explaining anything about these other than the fact i was the favorite every time and lost.

Day # 1

Today was the first day of my goal. I wanted to start out yesterday but was way to hungover/tired to play. Today i played about 1200 hands and couldn't really get much going. I played for about 6 hours and was playing pretty well/running kinda bad. Every time it felt like i was getting some momentum and really going to put up some big numbers i would run into a big hand, which i would lose. I really feel like today would've been a lot better than my results show but the cards were not on my side. Today i felt pretty good playing for a longer period of time than i have been lately. I am going to be putting together 5+ hour sessions everyday until i achieve my goal. My stats show that i have a lot better results when i play for longer amounts of time opposed to playing for an hour and trying to push the action too much. Anyways day 1 was ok i guess, and here are some of my key hands during play. I'm out

This is an example of both of us knowing how each other plays. He has me on stealing the blinds from the button so reraises which is a fine play. I knew by coming over the top of his resteal here i am taking this pot unless he has kk/aa because he thinks of me as a fairly tight player.

such a sick hand here- http://www.pokerhand.org/?710226 I smooth call the flop to reraise the turn until 1 of 2 cards came i didnt want to see, the A. I have him on aa once he bets out the small amount on the turn so i just call again knowing im paying off his river bet. Then I hit a very nice 1 outer, pretty sick set up by stars here.

Knew this player was on weak pair and still couldnt get him off the hand. So i semi bluff all the way down and needless to say i dont get there. I even value bet the river here playing it exactly like an over pair, yet he calls me all the way down. good call i guess.... not really http://www.pokerhand.org/?710229

I know he has qq here but just am not good enough yet to throw my set away here even though i know im beat. good thing is a lot of top players go broke here too, just one of those hands you will go broke on.

Another bluff where in my opinion the guy makes a terrible call. I had been playing fairly tight and there is absolutely nothing this guy can beat but a bluff. He thought for almost a minute on my river bet and still calls when i know hes thinking hes beat. http://www.pokerhand.org/?710250
