Day # 38

Tonight instead of going out i decided to play some poker instead. Im pretty sure i didnt miss anything to exciting in crazy port huron and i doubt i will get to play very much this weekend so i figured it was a good idea. I only managed to play for around 4 hours on fulltilt and pokerstars. I started off by playing 4 tables on pokerstars (3, 5/10nl and a 3/6nl) and finished off my session by playing 2, 5/10nl tables on full tilt. I didnt really pick up any big pots today but was still able to put up some ok numbers on both sites. For some strange reason both of the websites were pretty dead today and there werent many games going like there usually is. I hope it was just a slow day and that we arent starting to see the effects of neteller shutting down to the u.s. customers. Anyways i dont really have much more to say about todays play so here are some hands from today and im out. I might be going to michigan state tomorrow to see the crazys so if i dont post anything check back saturday or sunday.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?848258 - normally i wouldnt check the flop here but i was positive he had jj/qq/kk and hoped he would hit something on the turn. The K was a perfect card obviously and theres just no way hes getting away from the hand now.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?848267 - here i decide to play my set very slowly. I just call the turn to make it look like im on a draw with a hand like j10 or diamonds and i am really hoping a blank hits the river. The 6c is the perfect card because it didnt hit either of the draws i would be on so now i over bet the river to make it look like i missed and am trying to steal the pot. Once i bet he called immediately so the play worked perfect. Im not saying to slow play but sometimes in certain spots you have to in order to get maximum value out of your hands.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?848275 - here i just get outflopped once i make the continuation bet of 110 on the flop and he calls i am done with the hand. Im pretty sure he had ak here.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?848280 flopping quads and actually making money on the hand. I think that the river bet was perfect even though it made it look obvious that i had the quads he still called and that is what you want out of a bet like that. I think if i bet like 160 i probably dont get called but who knows with this guy because i wouldve thrown my 77s away on the turn.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?848287 - here i am pretty sure this guy has a big hand raising in the small blind and i have the perfect hand to bust a big hand. The flop is really good for me it gives me an open ended straight draw so i could raise but i am positive i will get re raised all in so i just call the 140 in hopes of hitting. I know if i hit the 10 or the 6 i am going to bust him so im getting huge implied odds which means i am really calling the 140 with the expectation of winning 1k if i hit my draw. This guy was a calling station and i know if i turn the 6 or 10 all the money will get in the middle because hes not folding his kk or whatever he had. Unfortunately i missed the turn and i just cant continue anymore with this hand after he bets the turn.
